Social Media Ad Strategy & Whys it’s Important To Have.
Social media will no doubt build your brand’s trust factor. Typically consumers are going straight to social media to ‘social proof’ businesses, essentially what this means is that people are looking on social media to see if brands are trustworthy, are a legit company, and to see what they do and what they care about. This will determine if the consumer will buy from you or not. If you have little to no content on your social media this is pushing the wrong message to potential customers and is not doing your business any faviours.
This is why it is important, not just to post but to also have a strategy behind it, so your efforts will pay off.
These are the three pillars to stand by when doing social media strategy:
Imagery - Grab users ATTENTION so they stop strolling
Caption - Expertise, information & authority
Frequency - Giving a schedule that your users can count on and that is optimized for best timings
Imagery
Imagery is how you are going to get that user to stop scrolling. Hint: don’t just use square photos use portrait photos so when people are scrolling you are using up more of their screen space. I have found photos of people work the best and if you are camera shy there are so many great free stock images to use like Pexels. Reels & Gifs are also great to grab attention and have a great engagement rate, don’t be afraid to pick your phone up and start talking to your audience.
Caption
Remember in the caption there are only two lines that will show up on their feed so the first part of your content is getting a strong opening headline - needs to be interesting and encourages uses to click the ‘read more’ button to read the rest of the content.
I have some suggestions on how to do just that. I recommend using a cliffhanger, question, or bold statement. e.g., I turned over 250k in my first year doing this one simple thing…. (cliffhanger). Why my agency is better than the rest? (question). unpopular opinion Instagram ads are easy (bold statement). Once you have written your content you need a CALL TO ACTION to encourage your users to take the next step. Comment, like, share, or send users to your bio to click the link. Lastly, hashtags use all 30 hashtags on every post and use them in comments, so they can hide there and not distract the user who is reading the caption.
Frequency
Do not post every day, I recommend posting quality over quantity. You can increase the post’s value by spending more time on 2-3 posts a week than posts that you do every day. Remember social media is all about the new best thing so if you are posting every day your posts are not going to get the best engagement that they could because when you post a new post the platform forgets about yesterday and will now only show your new post. When it comes to your target market you want to make sure when you post they are active. Think about when they will be online and when they have time to read your post. Make sure you keep it consistent, same time same day so your audience knows when to expect a post
