5 Common Mistakes You Are Doing When it Comes to Facebook Ads

Pulling your hair out because your Facebook ads are just not performing?

Here are some common mistakes that you may be doing which is affecting your ad performance.

Mistake #1

Not defining your business’s goals and outcomes. What does a successful Facebook campaign look like for you?

You need to refine your goals. Determine what you want to get out of it and what a good return on investment is so that you can monitor and track your progress.

Mistake #2

Not Split Testing!! When it comes to Facebook Ads you need to make sure that you are testing your ads to your target audience. Mix it up! My rule is to do a static image or carousel and video and with those two creatives again mix it up with long messaging and short messaging.

I always get asked what works best short or long messaging, but the truth is every business’s target audience is different, and it’s going to vary, and the only way to find out is to split test.

Mistake #3

Only having one campaign strategy. If you are running one campaign for conversion but you haven’t got a before or after strategy. This may be where you are going wrong as you need to nurture your audience and find audiences through brand awareness or a boosted campaign so you can target a cold audience that will then turn into a warmer audience when you launch a conversion campaign.

Mistake #4

Not testing for long enough, keep starting new strategies with giving Facebook enough time. It is way too often where I hear people say they tried it for 2 weeks!! yes, two weeks is not enough time to test the market.

Mistake #5

Not reading the data. Marketing is all about numbers, Testing, Refining, and Repeating. Don’t re-invent the wheel if something isn’t working refine it but if it is working keep it and repeat it.
