Clever Ways to Get More Comments on Instagram.

It’s 2023 and life on Instagram is...honesty, pretty dour? Reels have taken over, static posts are going unnoticed and thanks to last year's algorithm update you should notice that your engagement has dropped... quite significantly. In fact, since these updates, it’s expected that only 10% of your followers can see your content. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt. Lucky for you, we’ve some tips that can help. Here are clever ways to get more comments on Instagram.

 1.    Respond to comments

Always try to respond to those who’ve left a comment on your post. By responding to comments, you show your audience that you appreciate them. This is particularly important when building and creating online relationships. Always make an effort to engage with those who are engaging with you. It can be as simple as saying thanks or sharing a compliment with them. Whatever it may be, your response will be valued.

2.    Interact with accounts within your niche

By interacting with accounts within your niche, you begin to build a community! Businesses with strong online communities are often the most in tune with their audience. This is good as it means you know what content you should be posting, and what content will flop. In turn, you should have better engagement and more comments!

3.    Ask questions!

This is a hack that feels illegal to know but ask questions in your posts! When writing your compelling captions, at the end - ask your audience what they think, or what their experience has been. This is an easy way to gain some new comments, but it’s also a great way to get to know your audience on a bit of a deeper level.

  4. Use niche hashtags

Hashtags are the perfect tool to use to help you get more comments, more likes more engagement on your posts and more followers! Before the haters come for us, no hashtags certainly aren’t dead; and if you use them correctly - you’ll receive a fantastic social media ROI. Niche-specific hashtags are less popular; however, they are more specific to you, and your brand and they’ll work harder for you.

5. Use scaled images, not squared ones

Say Adios to the squared static posts. In this Reel driven world, you’ve got to do your best to stand out...and that means taking up ALL the retail space. So, to make your content more visible, make it bigger! You’ve got to stop a scroller in their tracks; so, make your post stand out. I mean, why wouldn’t you?

Now what?
