What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving in the US and marks the start of the holiday season. This holiday has spread around the globe and is basically a pre-Christmas shopping extravaganza where retailers slash their prices to gain and retain customers. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year! So if you’re a retailer, you should most definitely be thinking about how you can best execute your marketing efforts this year, to get more people through your virtual, or physical door. 

 When is Black Friday? 

Black Friday 2022 falls on Friday, November 25th - exactly 1 month away from Christmas day. Online retailers often extend these sales until Cyber Monday (28th November), often known as the Monday Frenzy sales. In total, shoppers can enjoy four days of slashed prices with their favourite retailers.

  1. Be prepared! We don’t want to scare you, but it’s already the 4th of November..so that means if you are scrambling for marketing ideas now - you’ve only got a couple of weeks to get your content sorted! (We’d recommend putting content out ASAP if you can).

  7. Use hashtags to reach new audiences

  8. Send your customers an early discount code

  9. Create a banner image to plaster across your eCommerce website's homepage.

  10. Offer minimum spend rewards, like $150 & save $25, or spend $200 & earn a $35 voucher.
