Content repurposing - sometimes called ‘content recycling’ is when you re-use existing content and do something new with it.  Content gets old, but ideas still run true. Content repurposing is an effective way to zest up old content and turn it into something fun. By doing this, you expand the content's reach and lifespan. Without further ado, here are our top tips for repurposing your content.

 1. Turn to old blog posts

Blogs are great because they’re well thought out and generally have a lot of substance. If you’re needing new content for your monthly newsletter, or social posting - blog posts are a great place to start. Select a powerful statement and turn it into a new graphic, or better yet repurpose it into a carousel post. Bam 💥 There you have a new piece of content for an entirely new audience.

2. Why not give LinkedIn a try?

Take your Instagram posts and post them on Linked In! Here you will reach an entirely new audience. Simply alter your tone of voice to tailor the content for the LinkedIn platform. You will be reaching a professional audience here so it’s important you cater with your tone of voice. It also means that your content isn’t exactly the same as on Instagram.

3. Create short video clips

If you’re confident getting behind a camera - use it to your advantage and get filming! Video is great as it allows you to slice up one video and turn it into a bunch of little posts for social media. This allows you to create an impact by giving small powerful segments the limelight. You also can share these posts across platforms.

 4. Edit your video for TikTok

With millions of monthly users - TikTok is the place to be. TikTok has an amazing algorithm that allows you to generate new engagement and reach on the app. TikTok is also a good place for those who are wanting to reach the Gen Z audience.

By sharing free and helpful information - you’re adding value to your audience.

5. Give Pinterest a try

We love Pinterest as it allows you to link back to your website or blog post - and it won’t cost you a single cent. You can create a graphic for Pinterest using Canva. Or select a short 15-60 second video that you’ve created. Surprisingly enough, Pinterest is the perfect place to turn browsers into buyers.
